There is not much left of summer at Ginty Creek. The upper pond is mostly dry.
I walked across it and found a few populations of water crowfoot.
Occasional isolated asters still prevailed.
And nearby were a couple of paintbrushes.
An aspen leaf presented an interesting abstract.
In places the colour had gone from the vegetation. The spiked goldenrod in front has just finished flowering; the clump behind has already lost its seed.
The variable willow is covered in cottony balls.
And the star-flowered solomon seal has turned white.
